Ride the Clear Creek Trail

You’re invited to this guided event for people with wheelchairs, blind/low-vision and others with disabilities to join Ride the Clear Creek Trail. The event is free and all are welcome on Saturday, July 16th from 2 to 5 p.m. It begins at the Silverdale Rotary Gateway Park, located at 11601 Silverdale Way NW.
Explore this beautiful urban trail that flanks Clear Creek with boardwalks, paved and gravel paths with guides leading small groups of participants, according to interests and chair types. A limited number of tandem bicycles will be available too.
Hippocampe All-Terrain wheelchairs will also be available to try out. These lightweight, durable chairs with specialized wheels and attachments are designed to tackle just about any surface so wheelchair users can access places classic wheelchairs usually won’t go.
Parking for the Ride the Clear Creek Trail event is available at the site but participants are encouraged to use Kitsap Transit. Advance reservations are required. Reserve your Kitsap Transit ride at 360-479-7272.
